This course is the practical skills session associated with the American Heart Association Heartcode BLS course. You must register and pay for the Elearning portion through AHA at https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls and complete the online course prior to attendance in this skills class.* Please bring your Competion Certificate to the skills class. Professional Rescuer CPR is designed for students who will be working in a health care setting or a rescue setting such as first responder or lifeguard. This is also the proper prerequisite to EMT courses. It includes one and two-rescuer CPR, Automated External Defibrillation (AED) and use of adjunct respiratory equipment. This class goes until all the material is completed (generally 2 hours). No academic credit is given, however, certification in BLS is awarded upon successfull completion.
