This 2-day course consists of practical and classroom instruction on the complete skills set for administering practical rescue skills and wilderness medicine in swiftwater settings.  The most recent theory will be presented in a didactic format prior to demonstrations and practice of this new knowledge.  The course will be focused on hydrology, river classifications, scene size-up, and scene management initially.  Practical skills will follow and include self-rescue, swiftwater swimming, in-water rescue fundamentals, rope rescue anchoring systems, and mechanical advantage.

Each day will run roughly 8:30am-5pm. You will receive a full pre-course information packet upon registrations with more details.
